Did you Know...
  • That you don't have to take your boat out of the water each day? Rent a slip at Katherine's for $15.00/nite. They usually have a waiting list in June so get your name on the list as soon as you get to Laughlin. Run out to the landing go in the Marina store and look to your left. Once your name is on the list come back at 11:00 am when they start calling out names. They have many many slips but if you're name is on page 15 you might just try the next day. Also, you'll need your driver's lic# and hull #.

  • That it's not a good idea to leave your stuff on the beach? Actually lake rules say you can't but we all do it anyway to stake out our favorite coves. There was some theft problems in 2002, but park rangers caught the thieves at Cottonwood cove unloading their barge. If you do leave stuff consider paddle-locking to trees.

  • Your emergency numbers for Lake Mojave?

  • That it is not a good idea to take boat out on the lake when red storm flags are posted? Check at Katherine's launch before heading out. You'll find other lake and weather conditions posted.

  • That Lake Mead SRA has an excellent newspaper that contains a lot of this information and other great stuff? It's a large download and you'll need Acrobat Acroread to read it. Download here.

  • That there is a web site posting stolen boats? http://www.boatman.com/99stolens.html
